No Clouds

I decided not to add the layer of clouds, as I've become much too interested in this texture. I also decided to add a little red and white striped costume to the figure, so above shows two more impressions: (1) a field of gray to shade the right side of the suit and (2) the red stripes over the gray. Then I tried a blue bokashi across the top:

Kind of moody, and I like it.

This is going to turn out incredible. I'm liking it much more than the original sketch :)

I'm also loving seeing the process step-by-step and hearing your thoughts along the way.

You're right about the texture. It's going to add a lot to the drama of the piece.

By the way, how large of an edition are you doing?

Hi Annie,

I like it too.

The bokashi at the top is a very powerful way to introduce balance and perspective to a print. Think of the Hiroshige landscapes. I like to wait till I have my black (?) printed before I decide on the scale and intensity of the bokashi.
