Modeling the Hills

PlusBrown

Back in the studio again today -- yay! I added some burnt umber here and there on the hills to give them some shape. Might have to do it again in some spots; we'll see as I deepen some of the other colors.

It's really coming along. I learn so much following along, thank you!
I wonder though...is your paper damp through this whole long process? And if so, how do you keep it evenly damp for so long, and keep it from mildewing?
That's one of the main reasons I don't try such an involved print. (that and registration!).
Thanks again for letting us watch your process.

Print is coming along nicely. I will be very interested in seeing the final version.

Thanks for following along! About the damp paper -- I actually let it dry when I know I'm going to be away from it for a few days. I make careful note of how much moisture I've used to start with (eg. wetting every other sheet, wetting every third sheet, whatever works for that kind of paper) so that it's easy to re-wet the paper the exact same way when I finally get back in the studio again.

This has been so enjoyable watching the development of this. The colors are wonderfully rich.
