Final Chlorine Print

ChlorineFinal

The rules for the Periodic Table Print Project require that the periodic number and symbol be obvious, so the last few impressions include these elements. First I added the "Cl" for chlorine, which I envision as being underwater:

CL

Then I added some linework to further define the toes. I found after the first impression that the lines were much heavier than I wanted them to be, so I trimmed them down:

Toenails
NailsTrimmed

Then I added the periodic number as well as the name of the element to finish the print.

To watch all 118 elements be added as the table progresses, visit this page hosted by contributor Goodfeets.

I concur, your print is beautiful and thank you sharing the process. The others prints in the project are wonderful as well and it gives me inspiration (and a little trepidation) for my own entry to the Table.

It's gorgeous, Annie... I never thought I'd say that about chlorine! I agree with Peggy in that you've set the bar high on this project.

This is so neat (and beautiful), you carved the letters as well?

I love your finished print! Thanks for showing us your process. I thought it was ingenious how you took some of the ink off with a cotton bud in your last post too.

Thanks everyone for following along. Yes, I carved the letters too. Carving the letters was easier than carving the toenails.

Annie, this print is great! Thanks for dropping by my blog the other day and pestering me with comments. I need to get working on my prints now that I've been inspired.
