The reception last night at the Hosmer Gallery / Forbes Library was wonderful. We had bought enough food and drink for 200 people, and it was all gone two hours later. Especially the wine! People had a great time, including me. I'm an introvert by nature, but if I do up my hair and put on some clothes that make me feel like an extrovert I do OK. And talking about printmaking is pretty near my favorite thing to talk about, so it was a great evening. Thanks to everyone who came, and also to those who sent their good wishes. Here are some photos from the evening.
My neighbor Marilyn was the first person to buy a print. Thanks Marilyn!
The woman in blue is a wonderful artist herself, Anna Brahms. Check out her amazing dolls.
We three artists who were sharing the space gave a little talk.
So many dear friends came.
And some folks from Northampton's Young at Heart Chorus!

oh Annie !
it looks so wonderful...openings of a show is always so delightful and people are so sweet and I think it is a great opportunity to invite a lot of poeple you know ..some more than others...but though you know what you do while working with the woodblock.....people are probably rather curious, I could think, about the proces and the subject of the prints...it shows that it was a great day.....one of my friends were at a show last weekend for a reception at the end of the show, not the beginning.....that was new to me that some have receptions at the end....congrats with a good exhibition and would so much like to see it...
Look like a wonderful time was had by one and all. Congrats on a lovely show! You seem to be doing an excellent job as extrovert, too.
Annie- your show was wonderful! I loved seeing your whole collection up close. Your inner extrovert really shined! Congratulations!!
xo
Annie, your work is amazing. Congratulations!!!
I'm so glad you opening was such a resounding success and so sorry that I missed it. It looks like so much fun! Congratulations!
Congratulations Annie! You so deserve an opening night like that.
Thanks everyone! Anita, I also just recently heard about that idea of having a closing reception at the end of a show instead of an opening reception. The one we had was a "middle" reception, halfway through the show!
Wow, everything looks so great and everyone looks like they are having so much fun! I wish I could get to the west coast and experience it myself! Great job, Annie!
Everything looks just perfect... and everyone, including yourself, look as though they are delighted with the exhibit. Congratulations again!!! I only wish I could have been there!
