Drawing With Power Tools

DrillDrawing

Sometimes it's hard for me to loosen up my drawing hand, so I decided to force myself into looseness by using a power drill to draw on my wood block. Not sure how this will look once it's printed, but I'm hoping it will look like falling stars.

Looks cool on the block.
Should print well too especially if the trails print light enough.
Watching with interest....

my husband has been suggesting for a while to get me one of those tools, but I'm not really convinced... so I'm very curious about this!
your posts are always inspiring! : )

I like the idea and am looking forward to the printing of it.

My dad has suggested using a dremel tool for carving. I think he believes that it would save time carving rather than add to the effect. I'd like to see how this looks printed!

Lori, I've never tried a dremel, but I know several printmakers who use and like that tool. Will be curious to hear what you think if you decide to try it.

This looks very promising and keen to see it printed. I tried a bit of Dremel on wood recently and thought what nice marks it made. Certainly differrent to normal tools and bit of a challenge.
Good luck.

Ooo, looks like a bunch of wee burrowing insects have taken a stroll on your block! Nice!
