Studio blog of Annie Bissett, an artist working with traditional Japanese woodblock printing (moku hanga)

Yesterday I finished carving all those skinny loopy lines. I wouldn't want to do carving like this for every print, but I'm glad to know that it's possible to carve lines that look loose and "drawn." I hope they print that way!
I have a short break in my illustration workload until next week, so I'm going to try to finish carving the other blocks (4 more) today and see if I can get this print completed over the weekend.
